Yes, yes, the dates been pushed back again. :( Good news is we are pretty much done with 8 out of the 12 tracks, so hey, it's coming along, yeah? Oh, and we also have an album sampler available ... more info on those can be found on the magnetichiphop.com products page.

We keep pushing back the ETA...sigh. As much as I want to drop an album ASAP, I also want to make sure everything is on point. It's getting to me though, as Common said on his 3rd album, "at times my going forward, seems like retreat // i rewrite rhyme after rhyme and throw away beats." Word. Anyway, this isn't to say that Derek and I have done nothing. We've actually finished two songs completely, tracking and all...so yep, it's getting there. A part of the reason the date is pushed back into February is 'cuz we're planning two collabs with the acoustic guitar guru Alex Shen. That brings our track total to 12.

We've shucked the oh-so-creative group name of Direct & Theresa Vu in favor of "Magnetic North", so don't be confuzzled if you see that name pop up from time to time. :) In terms of music, while I've been bumming around eating Fruit Loops, Derek has been very productive. He's cranked out 3 very promising beats for our new album...so slowly yet surely this thang is coming around.

Needless to say I'm excited about this one. Derek and I have been friends for years but didn't actually decide to work together until recently. Though this is a collaboration, there will also be some solo joints from each of us. As of right now, the track listing includes We Will Not Be Moved, Schools of Thought, and Believe On (Remix). We are currently working on our fourth track... all I can say is it's about backstabbing and betrayal and I'm having way too much fun writing it. :) Peace yoskies.
